Nurse Recruiter

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I love meeting so many great people and getting to know them! Hearing about their life goals, dreams, great places they’ve been and what’s important to them. Everyday I am so inspired and thankful I get to be a part of it.

What do you do for travelers that you feel is completely unique to you?

I truly care about the well being of all of the nurses that entrust their travel careers with me. I am readily available for anything big or small. I also check in with all of of my nurses every Wednesday and I have a Facebook page that is dedicated to them as well- showcasing their travel assignments, and accomplishments. I take my responsibility very seriously when it comes to your employment, safety and success.

What is your favorite thing about working with travelers?

Everything! I feel like travelers have caring hearts and they have a great outlook on life, they are adventurous and courageous. I love the connections we make and I love being able to use my expertise in a way to help.

What is your most valuable advice for the travelers you work with?

For first time travelers, I really try to tell you the good and bad. The point of traveling and to help educate you on travel taxes and how stipends work. Prepare for an earful bc it's very important for me, for you to be as educated as you can be. As far as advice, I would say the most important is to be excited about the change. It is different, and sometimes can be scary, but totally worth it in the end.

Why are you passionate about this industry?

I get to help make a difference in the world. I may not know the people that our nurses help, but I know they are maybe in the worst part of their life, and I was able to help make that a little better.

Where did you grow up?

West Chester, Ohio, just north of Cincinnati. I also lived in Williamsburg, KY as a kid. I’ve also lived in Texas, Kaiserslautern Germany and Maryland while my husband was in the Army.

What are your favorite places to travel?

I really like the Chesapeake bay area. Crab cakes and ocean breeze.
