Nurse Recruiter

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I enjoy the ability to meet so many nurses throughout the US and not only get the opportunity to work with them, but to gain lifelong friendships with all of my nurses. I love seeing how placing them at a facility can help others, however, getting to also see how obtaining a contract so positively can affect nurses' lives along with their families. It is a very heartwarming opportunity.

What do you do for travelers that you feel is completely unique to you?

I feel I go above and beyond when it comes to educating, supporting, and communicating with my nurses. I think that breaks a barrier between the nurses and a "Sales person". I like to be someone they can trust in any situation.

What is your favorite thing about working with travelers?

My favorite thing about working with travelers has to be the relationships I have been able to gain. I've had amazing opportunities to go on vacations with my travelers and their families. I have networks of nurses everywhere and I like that they can rely on me for good and bad situations. I also love to see what they can achieve when traveling. Such as buying their first home, or the RV they have always wanted. I feel that's what it's all about.

What is your most valuable advice for the travelers you work with?

I feel it would have to be communication and honesty. I think what I give to my travelers is that transparency and so when they can do the same it is such a great experience. Build that relationship with your recruiter and the stress of getting paid, insurance, etc. is that much less because you know your recruiter has your best interest at heart.

Why are you passionate about this industry?

My passion for this industry comes from the success I have been able to see so many travelers achieve. I have the opportunity to work with these amazing nurses, I can nominate them for Daisy Awards and have a hand in showing them how much they are truly appreciated. It's a hard field on both ends of the spectrum, however, the achievements make it that much easier on the hard days.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a small town in Ohio, if you can picture endless cornfields, my house was right in the middle. I then traveled to a few different colleges in Ohio to pursue my dreams of collegiate basketball.

What are your favorite places to travel?

Some of my favorite places to travel would have to start with Savannah, GA. I love the history and architecture of the city. However my all time favorite travel spot would be Byrdstown, TN to Dale Hollow Lake. I have grown up on the lake boating and tubing. It's the most peaceful spot I've been to since I was a kid.

What's on your travel wishlist

I would love to start to travel outside of the US. I want to get to understand other cultures, try their foods, and meet many different people. I feel traveling helps us come outside of our comfort zones. First on the list would most likely be Belize!

Tell us about your family or pets

I am blessed with some very supportive parents. I am 1 of 5 children, myself being the middle child. Two older brothers and 2 younger sisters. I have a niece (Myla) and a nephew (Boone). My wife and I were recently married in Sept. 2021 and we own a German Shepard and her name is Novah!

What's your favorite food?

My favorite food will sound very childish because I love a lot of different foods. My favorite of all time would have to be hot dogs!

What is your favorite pump-up song?

Oddly enough it may not pump many people up but I love the song Power by Dermot Kennedy!

What's your all-time favorite hobby?

I would say it's a toss up between basketball and drawing. I played throughout college and I graduated with a graphic design degree. Both hobbies are something I could do for hours on end.
